Origin and Specification of the Plant

Latin name: Aqua petra

Unlike many remedies, this is not a plant, but water from natural springs located in areas untouched civilisation and known for its power to heal the sick. Such half-forgotten wells, exposed only to the free interplay of sun and wind as they bubble up among trees and grasses, may still be found in many parts of England.

Any healing spring can be the source but it must be free from human interference so distant from areas of habitation. This will minimise any water pollution. Pollution of streams and springs has three major source which include fertilisers, pesticides and acid rain.

Specification of remedy

Group: Seven helpers
Emotional Group: Over-care for the welfare of others
Chronic condition: Strict idealist
Method of extraction: Sun

Dr Bach first prepared the Rock water remedy in Wales in the year of 1933. We take this remedy when an attempt to live up to some ideal leads us to turn away from the simple joy of living. In a Rock water state, we like to set an example to others. To that end we are strict with ourselves and deny ourselves pleasures in case they interfere with our aims. Rock water relates to the soul qualities of adaptability and inner freedom.

Comparison between other flowers

Beech:
Rock Water people do not openly criticise their peers but set an example for everyone to follow and think that is the best way to subtly show their dissaprovement while, the Beech personality would openly criticise their peers and complain about it.

Vervain:
Unlike Vervain, The Rock water type do not persuade anyone to do anything as one of their most important rules is to not interfere with other’s lives and if disapproved of their peer’s actions, they would normally set an example for their peers to behold and follow.

Vine:
The rock water type is the opposite of the vine type, for the latter try to dominate other people, while the rock water folk do not interfere, as a rule, in the lives of others. This is because they are far too concerned with their own perfection, and the setting of a perfect example for all to behold.
